The Research Chair Program, managed and implemented by the University Research Office (URO), is an institutional funding mechanism that members of the AdZU faculty and staff can apply for, either individually or as a group, to avail of various forms of support and incentives for conducting and completing proposed research projects. The faculty and staff who successfully qualify into the program are designated as researchers under the program and are afforded all the corresponding assistance, benefits, and recognition.
The Research Chair Program is designed to stimulate members of the ADZU community to translate interesting ideas into proper research project proposals that they can implement and complete through institutional support. The program consists of a set of guidelines and policies, and protocols for researchers; a system for evaluation and approval of research project proposals; and financial, material, and practical support as well as incentives
