The University Research Office (URO), in collaboration with the JHS Research Coordinator Ms. Esther Mondido, held a Kapihan Session for the Junior High School faculty members. The session was facilitated by Mr. Gerald James Ebal and assisted by Ms. Rigel Santos, URO Research Associate and Research Assistant, respectively. The first Kapihan was held on August 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at AVR 1, Junior High School Campus, Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

The session guided participants in sharing insights from their classroom experiences and identifying possible research interests based on the JHS Research Agenda. These insights were developed into potential research questions and directions using the UROโ€™s concept note template. Through discussions and idea generation, the participants were able to draft initial concepts and titles during the session.

The Kapihan highlighted the importance of collaboration and inquiry among JHS facultyโ€”supporting them in turning initial ideas into research concepts that can progress toward proposal development.
