The University Research Office (URO) successfully conducted the Research Publication Training and Workshop dubbed as Publication Writing: Mastering Academic Publishing, on November 20, 2025, at the Carlos Dominguez Conference Hall, FEC Building.
The whole-day workshop was facilitated by Dr. Robin A. de Los Reyes, one of ADZUโs published authors, who guided participants through the essential journey of transforming research work into publishable articles.
URO is grateful to Dr. De Los Reyes for sharing his time, experience, practical tips, and expertise about publication matters and academic publishing. Likewise, URO is also appreciative to the participants who responded to UROโs invitation positively and with eagerness. Furthermore, URO is thankful to Ms. Precious T. This initiative was spearheaded by the University Research Office (URO), under the leadership of Perla โArleneโ S. Ledesma, Director, with the support of the dedicated URO staff.
The workshop was organized in direct response to the Research Training Needs Assessment Survey (RTNAS) conducted by the office in August 2025, which revealed that Training for Publication and Writing Publishable Articles is highly needed by faculty, administrators, and staff respondents.
Aligned with its advocacy to establish and nurture a โCulture of Researchโ at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, URO has lined up several Research and Publication Capability-Building Training and Workshops in the coming months.
This recently concluded workshop marks another milestone in empowering ADZU faculty and researchers to actively contribute to the academic community through impactful publications.
With this initiative, ADZU continues to strengthen its commitment to research excellence and scholarly contribution.
