Validation Paves the Way for Enhanced Institutional Preparedness
The AdZU University Research Office (URO) team members, Ms Marilyn Miguel and Mr Herbert Deirio of QASMO participated in the Mindanao Resiliency Index Validation along with other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) partners. The focus of the gathering is to do an index validation. The collaborative event took place on October 15, 2025, at Golftel, Dream Residences, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, where representatives from each partner institution participated in the event and Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) as the lead organizer of the event.

The meeting’s primary objective was the rigorous validation of the newly developed resiliency index data. This process marks a significant step toward finalizing a new tool designed to measure and strengthen HEIsβ institutional preparedness and sustainability.
Beyond the data validation, organizers successfully executed the event’s broader mandate to foster strategic collaboration among Mindanaoβs 11 HEIs. The dayβs activities were structured to:
β’ Foster meaningful dialogue among partner institutions about existing resiliency practices and strategies.
β’ Strengthen networks of collaboration among higher education researchers and administrators in the region.
β’ Identify opportunities for innovation that could enhance institutional adaptability and long-term viability.

NBSC and partners are confident that this collective effort would make a valuable contribution to advancing higher education in Mindanao by promoting robust internal systems capable of withstanding various regional challenges.
